Bring our own towels or take them from the ship?

Beach towels will be provided for you in your cabin. No need to bring them from home unless you don't want to bring a Carnival logo towel to the beach.

Here is a hint. Bring a couple of gallon ziplock bags from home. When going to the beach, take a couple of small white wash cloths from your cabins bathroom, put them in the bags, fill with ice water, dump out excess water, and seal the bags. When at the beach it feels wonderful to grab a nice, cold, freshwater soaked towel to wipe your face. :D Bring them back with you at the end of the day and toss them in with your other dirty towels.

We took Carnival towels ashore once or twice, but found them to be very bulky...took up too much room in our beach bag. Also, very heavy when wet. Our method now is to take towels from home that we buy at thrift stores. No need to bring them home if you don't want the bother.

If we are going to the beach while in port, do we need to bring our own towels from home or can we take them from our stateroom?

Thanks!

You are supplied with beach towels daily in your stateroom. They are traded out when used. If you lose them you will be charged, but it is clearly unnecessary to bring towels from home.

You can also grab a chair hog's towel at the pool. Then you don't have to worry about bringing it back on the boat.

Lot easier to grab a used one off the stewards cart, throw it on your bathroom floor, which will then get replaced at the next cleaning. Then you can do what you want with it.

Really? I thought that was what the water, usually found right next to the beach, was for.

This is brilliant! 20 cruises and it never occurred to me to do this.

See, even we who cruise a lot can still learn things.
