2 insides or family oveanview on Getaway?

We are leaving on the Gem in a few weeks and want to book another cruise while there (really just get FCC), but I do know we want to do the Getaway for my 40th birthday and include my stepkids (11 and 13 at the time and we will also have my 3 year old with us). Anyway, we are debating between the Family Oceanview or 2 insides. My birthday is in early December, so usually those times end up being 3rd and 4th in a stateroom sail free... but I don't know how that would effect our family cabin. Does anyone have experience with this?

I am going on the Getaway on Sunday for our 40th birthday cruise, BF is Saturday and my 40th which is December 7th.

 

We are taking the Getaway again next year with our family of 8. Right now for sailings in 2016 you can pick UBP and another perk. If you are a family of 5 you have great options. If you can swing 2 connecting Interiors I would go with that personally. 2 showers, kids can be in one and you in the other.

 

There are no current Kids/PAX 3-4 sail free promotions and none on the horizon as far as I know.

 

Fam OV Dec 4, 2016 sailing is around $3167 with the Shorex ($200) and UBP

160 sq ft and 1 bathroom

 

2 Insides are: $3336 with Shorex and UPB (you would get $200 per cabin in Shorex credits) 280 sq ft and 2 bathrooms

I would lean toward two rooms, two bathrooms, eventhough it does not have an outside view.

I would go with 2 insides simply for the privacy factor as in you and hubby having some time together
