ocdtraveler Posted November 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2015 Has anyone disembarked at Rio de Janeiro cruise port recently? I want to know if there are taxis waiting there, or if there's some kind of shuttle service. Cunard wants $135 for a "private car" to take me, one person, to the airport, and they don't offer a shuttle service. I'm thinking I could do better just taking a cab or, hopefully, a shuttle bus. Rare Essiesmom Posted November 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2015 Have you checked to see if there is a roll call for your cruise, and what others sailing with you are doing? You can also ask this on the Ports of Call board for South America. EM
Rare FlyerTalker Posted November 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2015 There are PLENTY of taxis, lined up at the cruise terminal, at all hours when a ship is in port. You will have no trouble getting a taxi, other than the usual crushes of many people all coming off the ship together. But they won't run out - just how they process the line. Rare Keith1010 Posted November 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2015 There are a couple of places that your ship might dock and they are presently adding another pier. You should find plenty of taxis. Keith
