Rare nbsjcruiser Posted November 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2015 Thought I'd post a few pictures from our back-to-back on the NOS. We did the 4 day with one stop in Cozumel followed by the 8 day Eastern with stops in San Juan, Labadee, St Maarten and St Kitts. For those interested, here is my written review of the 12 days http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2283538 Now on to some pictures. We spent 10 days pre-cruise in Pompano in a rented condo. For about what we would have paid for 3-4 days at a hotel in FLL or Miami we got 10 days in a condo. This allowed us to spend some time in and around south Florida - Hollywood Beach, Pompano Beach, Port Everglades (twice) and a few other places. So before I get to cruise pictures, I'll post a few shots of that I took in South Florida then we'll get on to the cruise pictures. Hollywood Florida is one of my favourite beach stops and the weather this day was phenomenal. Pompano Beach was much nicer than I had anticipated. The days we spent there were great. Warm weather lots of sun. Who could ask for anything more?

Rare nbsjcruiser Posted November 30, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted November 30, 2015 A few more Pompano Beach shots. For my money you can't beat a day at Pompano Beach. Pack a lunch and a couple of drinks in a cooler, a good book or newspaper or two and sit back and enjoy. No hassles, nothing to buy, no shops - just pure relaxation. I also was able to get a couple night shots from the Pompano Fishing Pier.
Rare nbsjcruiser Posted November 30, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted November 30, 2015 Ok, so now on to some cruise related shots. We managed two visits to Port Evergaldes. We go to the same spot every time, the John LLoyd State Park. Great vantage points from here.

Rare nbsjcruiser Posted November 30, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted November 30, 2015 Some more ship pictures Having cruised on the Independence 3 times in the last 3 years, I wondered in the reduced size of the Promenade on the Navigator would be noticeable. It was. Deck 4 below the Promenade. Casino to the left, MDR to the right

Rare nbsjcruiser Posted November 30, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted November 30, 2015 Our first stop on the 12 days on the Navigator was Cozumel. We grabbed a cab and went down town and did our own walking tour. Of course we picked up some vanilla and a few free Tequila shots along the way. Rare nbsjcruiser Posted November 30, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted November 30, 2015 (edited) Some more Cozumel pictures This is where NCL ships dock. Much better place IMO. Its right in the middle of town so you can wander around town without the need for a cab ride. Edited November 30, 2015 by nbsjcruiser

Rare nbsjcruiser Posted November 30, 2015 Author #14 Share Posted November 30, 2015 It was probably the coolest day we've ever spent in Cozumel. We got a little rain later in the day but that passed quickly. After our walking tour we spent the afternoon at a resort just to the left of the XX in this picture. The price was $24 per person but they gave you a $12 per person coupon to spend on anything you like - water, beer food. It was a decent place to get some beach time in close to the pier. The Conquest left a few minutes before we did.

You're referring to Sabor restaurant now, right? If so, I do have a couple yes. I'll dig them out and post them.

Rare nbsjcruiser Posted December 1, 2015 Author #19 Share Posted December 1, 2015 Our first stop on the 8 day was Labadee. We had an over-the-water cabana at Nellies. It will probably be our last considering the high price they are charging there now. While we split the cost with my sister and her BF, it still cost $230 CAN per couple. That's just too much. Anyway, we had a good day in Labadee. Could have been hotter but still was a nice day. The view from our cabana.

PCWalton1 Posted December 1, 2015 #21 Share Posted December 1, 2015 Thank you for taking the time to post your wonderful cruise pictures. We are scheduled to do B2B on Navigator (5 day/9 day) in January 2017. I really appreciate the chance to see these pictures of the ship.
Rare nbsjcruiser Posted December 2, 2015 Author #22 Share Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) Next up St Kitts. For my money, there is no prettier place to sail into and out of than Basseterre. The mountains and grassy hills are beautiful. We intended to go to Shipwreck Beach for the day, a place we've been to twice. Unfortunately, when we got there the beach area was pretty much gone. The loungers were basically sitting in the water. I have no idea what happened there but its really too bad. I don't think it was a tide thing as we've spent two full days there in the past and have never seen the tide move that much. One of the workers mentioned something about Mother Nature reclaiming the beach. I'll go back some day I hope. We ended up going to another resort a little closer to town. Rare nbsjcruiser Posted December 2, 2015 Author #24 Share Posted December 2, 2015 The resort area where we spent the day. Renting a chair and umbrella was a challenge as the place was packed so if there is more than one ship in, get there early. That's Nevis way off in the distance. I don't think I've ever seen Nevis without a heavy cloud cover. Shipwreck Beach is about halfway down the beach.
