Blue Lagoon beach day review

We took the NCL beach day excursion on 11/25. It was very windy and the ride over was interesting. There were four ships in port that day and our ferry left at 10:30. When we arrived, we got two chairs at the first beach area. We let the kids play in the sand and water for a while and then we went exploring. They have lifeguards on duty but I would not depend on them to watch your children - they were playing on their phones or had their heads down. We found the snorkel beach and let the kids play there. Most of the area was roped off because the water was rough. We walked some more and found a swimming beach. The winds were high there so we just walked along the sand. We did not add the inflatables and it did not appear that many people did.

We had lunch about 1:15 and by then all they had left were hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, and a few salad items. The food was OK. The bathrooms were clean.

After the 2:00 ferry left, there were only a few people there. We let the kids swim and play some more and then walked around the dolphin area. You can watch the dolphin encounters and see them swimming around.

Our ferry back left at 4:00 and we had a good trip back. That ferry stopped at Paradise Island before taking us to the dock. We did have a great day and I would go back!

Thanks for reporting back. We're doing the beach encounter through Royal in the spring so am always interested in others experiences (but ours is only 4hrs long) Too bad parts were roped off, but still sounds like you had a good day.
