Did you do the Baths on your own? Is that the Speedy boat in your pic? We are thinking of doing this on our own in March. How long were you in port? Was it tight getting back to the ship for sail away? How much was the round trip boat & taxi transport? Sorry for so many questions just not sure whether to take ship excursion or on our own, have read conflicting reviews.

 

I was on the same cruise. i would not recommend to do it on your own. the schedule is too tight.

 

this was our experience. we were supposed to be back on the ship by 2:30 pm. we went on the second group, we have to meet outside at the pier at 10:15 am. it was 11 am and we were told the 1st group left 1/2 late so finally they came back at 11 am. we got there on the ferry at noon plus another 10-15 min on the safari bus. we were told to go on our own to explore around and to be back to take the safari bus back at 2:30 pm. we were back on the ship by 4:30 pm. 2 hours late, but because we were on an NCL excursion and we we were a large group (32) they waited for us. i don't remember how much the charge thru NCL was, but no worth taking the risk on your own to save a few dollars. we do a lot of the excursions on our own, but with tight schedules we try to stick to NCL excursions. we went on speedy but the ferry was for the NCL tours only. they were 2 NCL ships in port that day.

Thanks so much for sharing. Wonderful pictures! Great info! Sounds like you had a great time! Were the ships very busy or crowded in late November early December? Booked Getaway for next Nov/Dec and wondering what it will be like? Did you enjoy Vibe? Worth the cost?
