Lanyards

Many many moons ago before the coiled lanyards of Casinos Carnival gave you a very thin blue or black lanyard and punched your card. It was not fancy and did not have a breakaway. It was our first cruise (1993) aside from the one-day to Ensenada and we thought is great. Meanwhile many lanyards later I still remember being excited about the small token.

Last year we purchased the Carnival one for our mom/daughter trips. It is nice.

Hope they start punching holes like the person said on Magic. It is so hard to punch them! Even got a new puncher, worked great once, now I have to find a strong guy like Captain Carnival to punch my card.

Some people think a lanyard is as bad as a fanny pack. I have one of those too!

Last month on the Glory mine was prepunched which was great! But I will still carry my hole puncher with just in case. I don't find it hard to do at all. I even punch holes in my old gift cards that I use for the safe so I can attach it to my lanyard along with my S&S card. Never used to but since they took the Bibles out of the room, there went my hiding spot!

Our cards were issued pre-punched for our recent cruise on the Splendor out of the Miami cruiseport. Saved us a trip to guest services to get it punched once on board!

In addition to the other stores mentioned, our local Michael's craft store also had lanyards, the pretty beaded kind.

Years ago I got a free lanyard from Carnival, got another after spending $59 for Behind the Fun tour. They sell them now in the gift shop.

Most of my latest S&S cards have been pre-punched, but if we ever select the same cruise, I'll volunteer to punch your card. Who needs Captain Carnival?
