Wavesprite Posted January 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2016 If I book and pay for some excursions on ncl.com, and then later, on the ship decide to cancel, do they just credit my card back? or give me OBC?
casofilia Posted January 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2016 We had to cancel St Petersburg excursions last year as we had stinking colds. We had over USD800 returned to our OBC; I had great trouble getting it back on the boat. Normally they will return any excess OBC to you at your home address as a cheque; they do NOT return to your credit card. Remember you have to give 48 hours notice to cancel a Shorex. triptolemus Posted January 6, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) As Mike says, it is credited to your shipboard account. Think of it as refundable OBC or cash. If you don't spend in on the ship and your account has a debit balance (they owe you money) at the end of the trip they send you a check. Some Shorex are cancelled by the ship for whatever reason (whether, availability) right up until a moment before the Ex is scheduled. These cancellations are 100% refunded and are handled in the same manner as above. Edited January 6, 2016 by triptolemus
hawk1972 Posted January 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 6, 2016 Make sure you cancel at least 2 days in advance.
