FYI JW Marriott Marquis Miami Destination Amenity Fee

I happened to notice an extra fee on our bookings that wasn't there before. Nothing online about the destination amenity fee so I contacted the hotel.

 

This was the response, it's based on travel dates and not when you booked. It also cannot be waived.

 

We have implemented our Destination Amenity Fee which is $15.00 per day, during your stay. This fee will be applied to all reservations beginning on January 11th, 2016:

 

The Destination Fee will include the following amenities:

· Local calls and Long Distance Calls within the U.S.

· Enhanced High Speed Internet

· 30 minutes of Virtual Bowling, per day

· 30 minutes of Billiards, per day

· Access to the 3D Media Room

· 1 Yoga/Meditation class

· 30 minutes of the Golf Simulator

 

So now all the amenities that were on the 19th floor minus the basketball court are included with your reservation. No individual payments.

Thank you for this information. Im staying here on January 29. The $15 is per room, is this correct? Wonder what time the yoga begins. I have an early flight and planned on workong out once I got to the hotel. Maybe I can add in the yoga. My mom and dd will be happy with the internet and maybe I can get us to try the bowling. How did you find out about this? Thanks n

This information was from the guest relations manager. Services can be booked a couple days before arrival or at the time of check in. I assume yoga would be a scheduled class but I don't know for certain
