Nan-L Posted January 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2016 Looked at S. am. posts already.. there are 2 cruises I'm interested in on the crown one leaves on Jan 4th, this date works better for me, the other Jan.18th 2017. One says 3 sea days after the cape where the other other says Glacier Cruising in Chile. Both are in the same area where the 3 sea days are. My questions is do both ships go the same way, will one or both see the Glacier? or the coast ?

To see the glacier you have to enter the Chile fiords which takes a good part of the day. You also will not stop at the city of Puerto Montt. They are two different itineraries with some common ports of call.

flamomo Posted January 14, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2016 We did scenic cruising of the Chilean fjords on a SA cruise last year, and the views were lovely. Lots of glaciers!
StLouisCruisers Posted January 14, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 14, 2016 We've done two S. America cruises and the first one in 2012 was supposed to stop in Ushuaia. Due to political reasons, we were denied entry in the port, so spent the day cruising the Chilean fjords. What a treat! Generally you pass by some of the pretty scenery after dark after stopping in Ushuaia. I'm sure no matter which cruise you pick, you will have a great time.
