Papeete: 25 January

We finish our 11 day cruise in Papeete and disembark on 4 February in the morning. Our connecting flight is 02:00 a.m. on 5 February and we can't check into the same hotel as we stayed in on the inward journey.

 

I was just wondering if anyone can suggest a lounge somewhere or a place where we could rest and maybe have a WIFI connection, before joining our flight. Also suggestions for transport to the airport would be great.

If you get there the day BEFORE disembarkation...get off then. Do not wait until the next day and take that horrible night flight back. Do not wait until you have to have breakfast.

 

If you have to wait the horrible day and in to the next day, by all means rent a hotel room for that amount of time. It is a killer.

 

Just my personal opinion. We will be going there in March for our fifth time. It is truly a beautiful part of the world, but getting home is HARD.

Thanks for the info. We are flying from Perth, Australia but the flight times are also pretty bad. Overall though, it is not too bad - 11 hrs in total with a stop in Auckland ND.

 

Really looking forward to the trip, though so will try and look past the flight and time change pain...

Check out Fare Suisse Tahiti. I think you have to book a room, but reviews say that the owner will take you to the airport.
