NCL Casino question

I'll be sailing on the Escape in mid February and was wondering what NCL Video Poker game has the lowest house advantage at .25 and $1 bet levels. I'd like to practice basic strategy before cruising. I typically play Jacks or Better 1 play and 3 play but am open to learning basic strategy for any others that may have a lower house edge.

Thanks!

Generally Jacks or Better has the best odds in most casinos. However, being a cruise casino, I highly doubt you get 9/6 payouts for full houses/flushes on NCL. Read forums of a different cruise line paying only 6/5 for full houses/flushes. Imagine NCL is probably on par with that.

Wish I was going to be on the ship with you. I love to play video poker and have practiced many, many hours at home. It is nice to have someone sit by you who understands the game. I hate to see anyone just push buttons basically at random. They would be better off and probably have more fun with a regular slot machine. My turn is the end of January so I will have more info after that. I generally just sit at the bar and play.

One thing that has become increasingly annoying is the condition of the VP machines on the ships. I guess a lot of drinks get spilled but buttons stick on a lot of machines and there is nothing more frustrating than realizing that after you hit deal. I have discussed it with staff on many of the ships and there is a half hearted attempted to fix one or two machines but it generally affects several of the machines. I never see this on land casinos. I guess the land casinos just have more expertise to keep the machines in tip top shape.

Last cruise on the Getaway I had a slot attendant just tell me to switch machines and he made no attempt to fix it. I brought it to management's attention and it was fixed the next day. Didn't fix all the rest of them though but I tried.

Good luck to you.

If you have trouble remembering what to play, keep a cheat sheet with you and use it. You can find them all over the internet. When I first started I used them all the time. I've never had a casino complain. Remember the strategy changes for the different types of games. Example, DDB vs JoB strategy is slightly different.Job You'd keep a fullhouse with 3 aces, with DDB you'd just keep the 3 aces.

What are the minimums on the table games? Craps, specifically?

Craps was $10 last week. The others were mostly $10-25. There was 1 $5 let it ride, and 1 $6 blackjack table most of the time. Rare times they had 2 $6 blackjack tables open. Roulette was $10 minimum and had $2 chips instead of $1.
