JR Suite-Double points?

Yes, you still get an extra point per night for a JS or better stateroom.

Yep. We always book with TA and get the double points for JS.

Thanks for the quick replies! While the double points was not the primary reason for the JR Suite, it is a nice bonus and did help to sway us as we're not Diamond yet and this will help get us there faster. I just read a comment on a travel blog that TA rates are excluded from the double points.

The TA rates you mention are special rates (interline) the cruise line gives to travel agents when the travel agent is the passenger.
