Large dance floor

The largest we have ever seen is in the Ballroom of the Queen Mary 2 where they could probably handle a 100 couples dancing. And this ship also has an excellent ship's band that often plays dance music.

Be extremely cautious about replies you get. "100 couples" on the QM2 is absurd, maybe 40 for latin, correspondingly less for ballroom. Music is more complicated, in the past it's been atrocious, recent reports say it's greatly improved, so let's say "unreliable".

Do you plan on bringing your own music and practice by yourselves? There are a good many ships with wooden floors large enough for useful LOD for one couple. Expect zero cooperation from Cruise Directors, who will refuse to schedule ballroom music, even if they have musicians who can play on tempo.

There's a thread on Theme cruise, Best Ships For Dancing, I've posted some dance floor sizes.
