ccw2891 Posted January 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) This coming May 23 we will be on the Carnival Inspiration out of Long Beach. I have been looking at the past history of weather online for California and Mexico and it says average of 70. Where I'm from that is decent, but not really swimming conditions. I will be taking my kids and just wondering if anyone has taken this itinerary in May and found people utilizing the kids slides/swim area waterworks and/or pool areas? I know the weather can change from year to year...but just wondering how often do passengers utilizing the pools on the ship in May? Thanks Edited January 30, 2016 by ccw2891
cruisela2012 Posted January 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2016 We live in Los Angeles and my kids use the pool and slides every time we sail even in January. In May, assume warm days and slightly chilly nights. The water is warm in the pools and slides.
SadieN Posted January 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2016 There's always somebody in the pool or using the slides when they are open. Expect cool morning fog that'll burn off. It's our May Grey.
cb at sea Posted January 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2016 If the sun's out, it will get quite warm on deck...even if the temps are in the low 70's....stay away from the railing where the wind is strongest. Sunning is great in cooler temps...no need to get wet to cool off!
