Is OBC only for repeat cruisers?

This will be our first RCCL in nine years. We received an OBC for each of the two rooms we booked (sweet surprise.) I'm encouraging my brother and his family (who haven't sailed RCCL yet) to book. Are they eligible for OBC?

 

We booked directly with RCCL.

Yes RCL's current sale includes OBC for whomever makes a booking

our first three cruises we did not get any OBC at all.

 

if there is a OBC offer the terms are listed.

Encourage them to book through a reliable agent. The cabin price is exactly the same but they give back a percentage of their commission in additional obc, specialty dinners, spa treatments or pre-paid gratuities. On our April cruise we booked a Junior Suite. Royal offered $300 obc, but our agent gave us a total of $700.

Always book through a good TA. you will get much more OBC and the cruise wont cost any extra $. Going on Allure in march $550 OBC per cabin!
