515kitty Posted January 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2016 I would love to find out from anyone whom has done this voyage that when docking in the ports of call how far is the town and are they with in walking distance? Are there towns that are easier to walk than others. My husband had double knee surgery and walking is somewhat of a problem.
Hawaiidan Posted January 31, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Rather than giving the cruise names, which are all over the map, could you please tell us what ports your specifically wanting info. The distance can vairy widly for 100 yards to 1/2 to 3/4 mile just to the entrance to the port let alone the towns.

Rare LHT28 Posted January 31, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) Bahamas, St. Barts, Antigua, St. Lucia, St. Maarten. Was trying to decide if we can just walk around these ports or not? In St Barts, Antigua & St Maarten you can walk around the town most are a short walk from the ship it depends on how far your DH can walk A tour might be better so you can see more than just the town St Lucia has shops at the dock if you just want to have a snoop around Have not been to Bahamas so cannot comment Another suggestion is to maybe rent a travel size scooter so he can do a bit more of the area comfortably I only had one knee done & found I could walk a lot better afterwards just depends on his progress at the time of the cruise Edited January 31, 2016 by LHT28
robbie21 Posted January 31, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Go to the "Destinations" tab at the top of this page and navigate to the Caribbean ports. Select each port and then click on the "Info" tab. You will find most of the information you need there.
