Ship arrival in port per brochure is at 8:00am..... we will be 'walk offs.' flying out of LaGuardia. Can I do a 12:00 noon flight?

Disembarked the Breakaway yesterday. Used the self walk off. Was literary no line neither on the ship or in the terminal. Was outside and on my way to the hotel by 08:20.

A noon flight should be reasonable.

Noon flight should be okay. But you just never know. We sailed the breakaway in May 2014. We hit a whale and couldn't dock. We didn't get off the ship until 11:15!

We lined up on ship yesterday at exactly 10:00 am and made it to Newark airport to catch 1 pm flight which we had originally booked for 4;00 pm Porter Airlines allows you to catch earlier flights if there are seats with no problems.

I have taken Breakaway 3 times, used self walk off and have never been on west street later than 8:45

Following. I have the same question. Would like to get a noon flight, 1 p.m. latest. Is it easy to get a taxi to JFK quickly?

You will most likely be fine. However, if there is a delay at customs (which seems to happen every other month or so), you will have a problem making that flight.

We had booked a 12:00 flight out of LaGuardia to Toronto. I called NCL to book a transfer from the ship to the airport and they refused! The agent told me that it would be highly unlikely that we would make it to the airport 2 hours prior to flight (international). NCL recommends flights 1:00 or later. She said that we could be held up in customs and then have to wait for a cab, because we could not take NCL bus.

 

I called Westjet and had our flight changed to the only other flight they had at 4:45. This means that we'll have to spend hours at the airport. Tried to get the post-cruise excursion around NY City, but NCL rep again said "No"! For that tour, flights must be later than 6:00!

 

So we'll be sitting at LaGuardia for the entire day and I really believe now that we should have kept our 12:00 flight, walked off the ship and grabbed a cab and crossed our fingers. Oh well, you live and learn. Good news is that we can take our time disembarking!
