Free beaches?

We plan to do an interactive dolphin program but should be done by 1 or so. We want to hang out in port as much as possible but don't want to spend anymore money. Are there any free activities or beaches around the area?

which dolphin place? There are 2 of them.

One is downtown, the Dolphinarius.

One is inside Chankanaab park... if you do that one, you are already inside a park with activities.

Which pier? - this will dictate what there is to do close by.

Not sure...We are on Carnival if that helps.

Carnival docks in Puerta Maya, typically. Dolphinaris is up closer to town. There are a number of places along that stretch, including Margaritaville and an open access point to beaches.
