YOLO1971 Posted February 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2016 We need to book a hotel in Miami post cruise as our flight doesn't leave until 8 a.m. the day after we debark from the Escape. We won't have a car and would like to be able to purchase some wine/snacks and stay at a decent hotel with a pool as we have two children. Is there anywhere near the airport with a nice pool and restaurants within walking distance or should we book somewhere downtown and cab it to the airport the next morning? Any recommendations? Thanks so much for you help!

Thanks so much for you help! Other posters can give you specific recommendations but the Blue Lagoon area fits your requirements. Do not stay right at the airport, it is a bad part of Miami. The Courtyard Marriott Coral Gables is in a much better part of town, walking distance to the tons of dining and shopping on the Miracle Mile and has a free airport shuttle. I would personally enjoy Coral Gables much better than the Blue Lagoon area.

Rare Keith1010 Posted February 13, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2016 I would stay downtown. Hampton Inn JW Marriott Conrad Hilton Within walking distance of Mary Brickell. Lots of restaurants there. One of my favorites is Pericone's. http://www.pericones.com Keith Keith
JohninDC Posted February 13, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Blue Lagoon hotels are fine if you are arriving late and cruising the next day, but are not where I would choose to spend an entire day. Listen to the advice above from Keith and Blue.
