Theme Nights/Deck Parties on the Glory

Does anyone know if the Glory (7 day Westers) has an special theme nights or deck parties or BBQ on the Pool deck durning their cruises? We have not been on Carnival for awhile now and I can't remember if they do those type of nights.

I know the Eastern Glory cruises had the Red Frog deck party one night, and the Blue Iguana deck party a few nights later.

There is the usual sail a way party, and most likely two evening deck parties at 11pm with some sort theme. No bbq.

Just got off of the Glory, was on her for 21 days.

 

I have to say that The Glory's entertainment was the worst I have ever seen after 25 cruises.

 

They have 2 deck parties which consisted of line dancing and nothing else.

 

There is no bbq.

 

There is no bands. There are 2 guitar players and 2 duos.

 

One of the duos played 60's and 70's ballads...not uplifting or what you would want to hear on a Caribbean cruise.

 

I must say Eric, is about the worse CD I have ever had and if I ever see a ship with him as CD again, I will not book it.

I just got off the Glory on Feb 13 and I have to agree that the entertainment was lacking. The playlist production singers were not that great and sometimes off key. On the final Epic Rock show I thought there was some lip syncing. One guitar player Eric was excellent but I believe he is leaving the ship and the band Glory Days was good but everything else was not worth listening to. We did have a great cruise, the crew was fantastic as were our waiters. But I have definitely seen better entertainment.

This is really disappointing--so far there's a group of 12 of us (might add a few more) going on the Glory in November--and 7 are 1st time cruisers!! I can roll with the punches, but I'd hate for the 1st timers to be left with a bad impression.

Does not sound great....we are not big Carnival Cruisers and this is not sounding great. Oh well....guess we will see. Thanks everyone for the comments.
