We booked this with RCL. 4 ½ hours at the beach. Not too much detail provided by RCL. Anyone have booked this and can provide comments.

We did the land tour of San Juan and were not impressed. I thought beach time may be better but I am thinking if I should cancel this deal and just stay on the ship for this stop.

Thanks.

I have not done this excursion but we did stay at the Caribe Hilton 1 day post cruise a few years ago - I would not pay to go to the beach there - it was very dirty - as in trash in the water and on the beach and pretty small beach -

I'm so sorry to read the condition of Caribe Hilton's beach. It used to be so clean and lovely. Very sad.

I will cancel that excursion and stay on board. From Trip advisor and here it sounds more like Orchard Beach of the south:mad:

No dont stay on board you will miss on so much in San Juan!

First there ARE beautiful beaches in San Juan, you can walk for miles and it is beautiful!

If you do not feel comfortable with that then walk the old city. Do not miss out on all that history. If your worried about walking on your own, which you should not, then take a tour. Dont waist this opportunity you have.

The beaches in Isle Verde are beautiful. Long stretches of soft sand and calm waters. The beach at Intercontinental Hotel and El San Juan Resort and Casino is really nice. Those hotels are beside each other.

Take a taxi. Taxis are zoned with fixed prices and it is about 20 minutes from the dock depending upon traffic.
