We are on this cruise in April and have booked the tour (yes, it is probably 1/2 day and scheduled after lunch). We have never been disappointed with any of the optional excursions and are looking forward to the wine tasting.;)

We took this excursion. Yes it is half a day. In the am there is a canal boat ride and walking in Strasbourg. Then after lunch an option to the private winery in Alcase. At the winery you have a tour of the cellars and then a wine tasting. The vineyards in Alcase.

We did this excursion & loved it. The drive through the countryside was gorgeous. After the vineyard stop, we went to the town of Obernai. We had a walking tour & then free time. I wrote up an extensive trip report that has some times & more detail.
