dickymint25 Posted February 15, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Does anyone know whether celebrity offer a dessert menu suitable for type 1 diabetic? Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
cruzeluver Posted February 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Every night in the main dining room there has been one dessert made with sugar substitute and a no sugar-added ice cream is available as well.
spookwife Posted February 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2016 quite frequently the NSA added dessert was my pick and it was delicious. I stay away from any fake sugars/sugar free items though. and of course you can always get a bowl of unsweetened berries/fruit.
SuiteTraveler Posted February 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) There are also sugar free desserts in the buffet and specialty restaurants. I just want to add, in the unlikely event that something happens like what happened to RCCL Anthem of the Seas where guests had to stay in their cabins for 12 hours due to a storm or if there is a travel delay or a delay in boarding, it is always wise if you are diabetic to travel with a half dozen or so prepackaged snacks so you will have something appropriate to eat with you at all times. 99.9% of the time you won't need it, but that .1% of the time, if you do, you will be really glad you planned ahead. Rare Keith1010 Posted February 15, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 15, 2016 I would also post this on the Celebrity Board as more people with knowledge of Celebrity read that board. Keith
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 15, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Definitely ask on the Celebrity board where you will get a lot answers. There isn't really any menu of desserts for Type 1 diabetics. Just a couple of desserts listed on the main menu.
