The MSC Yacht Club is simply lovely, a great way to sail :D A small luxury ship within a megaship with all its facilities. We have cruised in the YC for many years and also in the Caribbean onboard the MSC Divina. A great cruise in all aspects. I'm sure you gonna love it:) Tre problem is that you don't want to cruise in another way:D

Here are a few videos from MSC Divina, both from the Caribbean and the Med. All from the Yacht Club.

Gabrielle is still onboard Divina, but we have heard from a friend who sailed Divina not to long ago that Giuseppe was going to be demoted to The Black Crab so he ended up leaving MSC,,,a shame because we really liked Giuseppe!!

Very sorry to hear this about Giuseppe. He was in my opinion an excellent maitre and would do most anything for you. We very much enjoyed dining in Le Muse in no small part thanks to Giuseppe Di Nardo.

Zoey, only if you are sailing in the Yacht Club. You cannot miss the white tent where the butlers will meet you. It is right next to where the porters are standing.

Documents will be online. I usually get my docs emailed to me a week or two before the cruise. If you are in YC, do NOT print or attach the luggage tags. The butlers will just tear them off. They have special ones for the Yacht Club folks so save time and paper and don't bother with the pre printed tags in your e docs.

Thank you so much for your reply. We are sailing in the YC , very exciting as this is a new line for us, we sail mostly Celebrity but have been on RCCL ( many many times) ,Princess, HAL, Oceania too!

Good news. I just received an email from the sommilier in Le Muse, Luigi, who assured me that Giuseppe is still the maitre.

Hi Kathiean

i don't think you can have dinner served in your room. You can have breakfast, only continental. You can also order room service lunch (Im sure the room service menu is available all day)and of course pizza after 8.00 pm I think. But not dinner.

Is this correct? Your butler can't serve you dinner in your room? Can you order off of the specialty menu's (for a fee, I presume) or off the MDR menus? If not, I don't see any benefit to a butler.

Yep. You can't order dinner to be served in your room from any menu, not even for a fee. There wouldn't be much point really as there is no where to eat it from, the only table in the rooms is a small coffee table. Ithink the table in the YC2 and YC3 rooms are slightly bigger, but still a coffee table.

The only exception to this is if you are sick and can't leave your room, then I'm sure you'd get dinner brought to you.

How are tips handled for drinks served in the YC...??

Tip extra at the end of the cruise if you want . Your tip is included in the service charge.

I see it as, I've paid my "service charge" per person, per day, so no extra from me unless someone does something out of the ordinary for me that isn't a normal request.

Then, what kinds of things does the butler Do? While on the NCL Getaway the butler recommended we not do dinner for the same reason, but he would of done it if I had asked. The only real thing he did for us was to bring us mid-afternoon snacks.

They will bring you your choice of coffee or tea at a time when you choose plus morning pastrys and the paper. Restocking the mini bar, get you what ever you need, when ever you need. Escort you on and off the ship also to the YC restaurant. Turn down service, arrange laundry services. Bring "other" drinks (wine etc) and snacks to your room if you want. Room service. Some people rely on the butlers but some only see them if they need them. We just had our morning ritual of coffee served at 8am before showering and changing for breakfast. Once your out of the room the staff are in and cleaning/changing the bed and towels for the day ready for your return.

They are excellent!

Thanks, I couldn't see me being paraded around by one but getting an escort off the ship might be nice in certain circumstances.

They (Your Butler) will take you to the Le Muse restaurant the first time you dine with them just so you are aware where it's located. [emoji3][emoji108]

We cruise a couple of times a year on various cruiselines. We like to try & get the earliest fight home as possible so we always elect to do the 'carry your own luggage off' option.

This option was great when it first started because you could count on being off the ship first. It has become so popular that a big percentage of the ship now does that and there is always a big jam up. It becomes really hard to get in an elevator with all your luggage. Sometimes i get in & go to the right deck to disembark & my husband has to wait for another elevator. They are all jam packed.

With the Yacht Club....you are escorted to an elevator that is waiting just for you !

Marvelous !

We LOVE being 'paraded around' by our butler! It became quite funny as we were travelling on our first Divina cruise in the YC with my 6 month old at the time and every time we tried to leave the YC, our butler would rush out and insist on escorting us wherever we might be going. It was almost like he was lying in wait for us! We loved him SOOOO much! Now that we've done 6 cruises in the YC on Divina, it still hasn't lost its allure. We just love the escort! And they still spoil my now 3 year old rotten!!!

Does or will the Butler escort you to the theater?
