wowzz Posted March 2, 2016 #26 Share Posted March 2, 2016 Consider the aircraft used and the seating configuration. Is it 2-4-2 or 3-3-3?BA's 787 economy cabin is extremely uncomfortable. A bit irrelevant as this type is not operated by BA or Virgin on this route. Virgin operates a 747 with a 3 4 3 configuration, the same as BA. BA also operate a 777 as well, which has a 3 3 3 configuration.
Brighton Line Posted March 2, 2016 #27 Share Posted March 2, 2016 Are all the old aircrafts gone from AA now? We flew in an old aircraft (767?) from Miami 2012 and that was far from what BA offer in World Traveller. You can always go to AA Cargo site and get the widebody schedules. There are still 763's flying on international and domestic. https://www.aacargo.com/ship/schedules.html https://www.aacargo.com/downloads/schedule/widebody_USA_outbound_16dec15.pdf https://www.aacargo.com/downloads/schedule/widebody_USA_inbound_16dec15.pdf https://www.aacargo.com/downloads/schedule/widebody_USA_domestic_16dec15.pdf

I'd seen these posted before but hadn't paid a huge amount of attention. I didn't realise there were so many widebodies between MCO and PHL/CLT. I fly down to MCO regularly from NYC and to think I've been silly enough to go on 738s with 40" pitch when I could have had a quick stopover and done it in a flat bed!:D
Rare Gardyloo Posted March 2, 2016 #29 Share Posted March 2, 2016 There are still 763's flying on international and domestic. Many of which have already been refurbished with lie-flat seats up front and personal IFE in the back. Check the seat maps - if the front is 1-2-1 then it's a retrofitted plane.
