I read up on the thread dedicated to this topic, but I have a few other questions. I want to hire a private driver for a day for 4 people.

 

1. Can someone recommend a good blue flag taxi driver with a vehicle that comfortably holds 4 passengers. We don't want 3 people stuck in the back seat!

 

2. Does anyone know the 2016 rates for the blue flag taxis?

I was quoted $70 per hr for 5 hrs

We are using David Fox but I have 6 pax so will have a van

you could probably request a van even for 4 of you

I think smaller cars a re $50 per hr

hopefully one of the locals have the answer for you

The current rates are $50 an hour for a 1 to 4 passenger taxi and $70 an hour for a 5 to 7 passenger taxi. That is regulated.

I've read a lot on the Bermuda Private Guide thread also but am still confused. Is the $50 for a 1 to 4 passenger taxi per passenger per hour or just per hour? Thanks.

It's $50 per hour for the taxi, not per passenger.
