Question to Bonnie from our Roll Call

Bonnie,

somebody from our RC mentioned, that they changed the itinerary for the Journey cruise, starting march 16th.

We should have been in St. Barts until late in the evening and having the AmazingEvening onboard.

Now we leave St. Barts at 6pm, arrive in St. Maarten at 8pm and leave the island at 11pm.

Maybe, thats what I thought, the found a better option for the AmazingEvening on St. Maarten, because there were so many disappointed people about the one onboard while ship was in St. Barts.

Maybe you can check it for us and I can write it in our Roll Call.

Thanks in advance, Marita

Your sources appear to be correct! I've just learned that this change is in the works and notification is being sent out to all booked guests and their travel agents this week. It will be up on the website this week as well.

Here's a bit of the letter going out...

"We are pleased to announce the addition of a special evening call to Philipsburg, St. Maarten to the itinerary on March 22, 2016 so that we can offer our guests an AzAmazing Evening event entitled "Modern Caribbean Rhythms"

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the information Bonnie. I agree with Phil's comments. It's great that Azamara's management team was responsive to the feedback from the January sailing, and made changes. I realize that we were in the minority, as we enjoyed the AzAmazing evening onboard, but it's safe to say that it could have been better. I still feel that with all of the logistical challenges - and, coming right off of a Drydock.... Azamara did a very nice job (and their officers & crew made a HUGE effort) under the circumstances.

Hopefully.... one of these days, we'll get to experience the AzAmazing evening the way it was intended to be.

Bonnie - can you possibly share more information about "Modern Caribbean Rhythms" ? Sounds interesting !

AzAmazing Evening - Modern Caribbean Rhythms - SMI9

You may be familiar with Caribbean music, but this evening's performance by The Alternative Quartet will add a whole new dimension to your understanding. With an electric cello and three electric violins, the group brings the Caribbean beat to life in a unique showcase of Soca ("soul calypso"), Dancehall and other music. Your event will be held outdoors on the pier, with performance seating in an area bedecked in festive holiday colors and lights. Get ready for some fun!

Port/City: Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Dates Offered: 22-Mar-2016

Approx. Duration: 2 hour(s) 30 minute(s)
