Hi. All this chat about shuttles etc makes me think of getting to Barcelona airport.

I need to be at the airport by about 9.15.

Can anyone help with (1) what time we can get off the Epic. (2) are there taxis waiting near where the Epic docks.

My first time to use Barcelona so any info appreciated. Thanks

If you look at your cruise documents I think you should see the information. Maybe your TA has not given you them yet.

I am on the same cruise as you and have edocs, this is what is says:

BOARDING PROCESS •Boarding begins at: 12:00 pm

Please do not arrive earlier than 1 hour prior to boarding time shown.

•Departure time: 6:00 pm

All Guests must be on board the ship no later than 2 hours prior to the departure time noted on these documents or they will not be permitted to sail.

I selected a hotel near to the Sagrada Familia so we are going to do a visit first and then check out of the hotel and take a taxi.

In 2010 I did a visit of Casa Batllo and last time I walked to Montjuic (gives great views of the port so can be the first view of the ship early in the morning) before leaving for the ship.

I know it is exciting to get onto the ship as soon as possible but I do like to see a bit of Barcelona too. It really is a nice city to visit.

Hi Ollie and Bert and Mum!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is really helpful thank you and to Keith also.

This place is like an encylopedia brittanica.......see how old I am!! should've said like google!!

Maybe bump into you all on board......wonder how full the Epic is???

Last big ship we were on was the Emerald Princess......in the Caribbean.....had to seek out the "sanctuary"..........

Anyway I booked it!!! Thanks again

  • 3 weeks later...

We’ve been to Naples five times on a cruise and have never toured Naples.

As soon as you get off the ship, the windows for hydrofoils, boats to take you to the surrounding Amalfi Coast towns, is right there. We’ve been to Capri, Sorrento and Positano, all on our own, and it was fabulous!

Can i ask if norwegian epic offers a shuttle bus from all ports to centre such as livorno cannes marseille barcelona naples.
Your question has already been answered earlier in this thread for Livorno, Marseille, Barcelona, and Naples.

Cannes is a tender port, and you get dropped off in the Old Port, in the center of town.
