Cheese plate dessert.....

Oh yes! Wine and cheese plate before dinner, love it. I will do this next cruise.

Addition to my packing list ~ Ziploc baggies. Transfer the cheese to a baggie so it doesn't dry out in the fridge until I'm ready to eat it. Will they give extra toast slices if you ask?

 

 

Cheese wouldn't last long enough to need a baggie. [emoji2]

At least once a cruise I will order the cheese plate and the fruit plate for my dessert- YUM!

And just remember you can also get cheese (slices and cubes) and sliced meats and things in the Lido buffet. I'd get some of that to take and put in our frig for a snack with our wine on the balcony.

 

We have done that but amazing how often we bring stuff back to our cabin and than never get around to eating it.

When I order my regular dessert I also ask for the cheese plate to go. It comes on the regular plated with a cover over it. (Just like a room service order would)

 

Have often found the MD will not allow waitstaff to let people do this.

For us cheese lovers I'm kind of disappointed with the offerings on the dinner buffet. The cheddar at the deli makes great a grilled cheese sandwich. One of the (very) few reasons I like Princess is the dinner buffet cheese selection: port wine, something with green, a whole wheel of Parmesan, varies nightly. Carnival's MDR cheese plate puts Princess's one to shame.

The cheese selection on the Midnight buffet of a Journeys cruise is very good.
