Marine life

Hi! I'll have a midship balcony, sailing from NYC to the Bahamas in July. Has anybody seen anything interesting in the way of marine life while cruising? Especially from midship. My brother once saw a sailfish from an aft balcony. This will be my third cruise, and I always hope to see something, but so far I haven't except at the ports. I will continue to hope :D

I've never sailed from NY, but I have seen sea turtles, dolphins, flying fish, whales, and the odd piece of flotsam from my balcony...

I flying fish one night from my balcony. It looked like it was glowing from the moonlight. It flew a good distance.

we saw 2 mermaids jump out of the water

Not marine life but we had a super cool owl-like bird land on our balcony when we were anchoring off the coast of Belize.

We've seen dolphins from each of our balconies so far and plenty of flying fish.

Lots of beached whales on board in January, unfortunately it wasn't hunting season.
