Chips, Pretzels, Anchovies?

Need my salt fix...Are chips, pretzels, nuts available from room service or buffet?

 

Love Caesar Salad, but has to have anchovies...Available at buffet?

When did they stop the anchovies with the Ceasar? Never had a problem getting them when I cruised Carnival but know things change all the time.

Chips and Pretzels are available through room service (they are generally served on the side of sandwiches but I'm sure if you asked for just those, they'd oblige) On the other hand, if you really need a salt fix, a BLT with chips and pretzels on the side would satisfy that in spades.

 

The Caesar salad is made with anchovy paste but not whole anchovies.

Unless this has recently changed, you can get fresh-tossed Caesar salad from the Pizza Pirate (the pizza counter in the buffet area), 24-7.

Never got a salad from the pizza place but you can still get extra anchovies in the dining room. We just got off last week and we always get an extra serving of anchovies with no problem.

Even if you get a sandwich with chips on the side from room service, you won't get many chips. I have been able to get anchovies on Caesar salad at the pizza place. You can always ask too in the dining room.

 

I always carry my own salty snacks when I cruise. This is one area where Carnival is lacking. I enjoy a salty snack with my tasty beverage! :)

Well, crap.:( I guess that's one more cutback I didn't know about yet. They happen so frequently, I have to use that "Unless this has recently changed," qualifier all the time, now.:rolleyes: Thanks for letting me know - that's one more notch that I need to lower my expectations for my cruise. Finding out about the cutbacks prior to my cruise helps me to avoid disappointments while actually on the cruise.:o

As a fellow salty person, I too bring my own salty snacks. I usually have a small can of nuts and possibly a bag of pretzels.

 

In fact, last cruise I brought my pretzels and a container of hummus. Since doing WW and losing 85 lbs pretzels and hummus have taken the place of my chips and dip. It was nice having my healthier snack available.

They don't offer anchovy pizza now. I don't like the new pizza so didn't think to ask if they have anchovies. The chips from RS are many times stale. Only once had some that weren't.

 

I take some of the very small bags of salt and vinegar chips and some caviar and crackers.

Some Guy's have the potato sticks and some don't. At least that's been my experience. I'm always glad to see them on the toppings bar!

I like the salty stuff with a drink too. I bring my own pretzel rods (easy to carry a couple around with me to a bar) and trail mix. Pringles travel well too.

Room service i always get extra chips with no problem. Plus since they stopped the snacks at the bars I always bring bags of salted nuts in my luggage.

Another salty snacker here! We like to bring Pringles tortilla chips. They stay protected in their can, and if you can get salsa from the Blue Iguana Cantina or elsewhere? they are perfect!
