Shows on Oasis

How often do they change up the shows on Oasis? We sailed in December 2014 and they had Cats at that time. we will sail again in April 2017 on Oasis... will there be a different Broadway show by then? Also do they change up the other shows more frequently?

Are you sure it was Cats and not Hairspray? They normally change the shows during drydock.

Positive - I saw the show! they changed to Cats from Hairspray sometime in the fall of 2014.

I hope it's changed, I hate Cats:mad: we wanted to walk out after the first act years ago.

Hoping it changes before Jan 2017 when we go. Haven't heard many good reviews, and I'm not a fan of Cats to begin with.

Recent meetnmingle was noted that RCI used to do 5 year contracts and now do 3 year contracts, that means that Cats is around for years still

Given the investment in sets and special setups, they probably will not change any of the shows substantially by the time you go back next year.

It would be very unusual to change the main shows except at a dry-dock overhaul. Dry-docks are every five years. Don't expect a new show on Oasis prior to 2019. Allure and Harmony have different shows. Ice shows on some ships have been around without changing for years. I was on the Farewell Cruise of sister line Celebrity Mercury, and the final show had been on the ship since its first sailing 14 years before. If you need new shows try a different ship.

I wish I had thought to look at Allure before booking Oasis again. Didn't like Cats on Broadway so I don't expect to like it in June.
