Early payment

Are there any advantages to making the final payment before the due date?

Expect a cancellation would be a problem even thought I think in the US you can cancel before final due date.

In the US, we can get price adjustments if the fare decreases prior to final payment. I've had at least one occasion before final payment where there was a much better offer than what I booked, so I had to cancel my original booking and re-book to get the better offer. Perhaps this all could have been accomplished if I had already paid in full, but it would have meant adjustments on my credit card which can take some time, plus Cunard would have had full use of my paid-early-money, not me.

Sorry, but I can't think of a reason to pay in full prior to due date. -S.

Cancelation fees for US bookings are determined by the number of days before sailing, not whether you've actually made final payment. If you pay in full upon early booking it's still fully refundable up to 91 days before sailing.
