NCL docking at Mahogany Bay Cruise Center?

Sailing on the Getaway in June, and when I research the port of Roatan on the NCL website, it says "Port Name & Location, Mahogany Bay Cruise Center, Ship will DOCK at this port."

Can any recent NCL cruisers confirm this for me please? I thought Mahogany Bay was for Carnival and it's sister ships only? Thank you!

Where does it say online on ncl where you will be docking and if you will be tendering, etc..? I haven't been able to find it and have been wondering the same for Roatan. Some on CC have said Getaway is too big for dock at Coxen Hole and that is why it tenders there.

This is where I found the information on Roatan. You need to scroll down a bit.

NCL's information on all their cruise ports and whether they dock or tender can be found here:

Although if the info they post is wrong from the get go, it won't be of much help!

OP, I'm not sure where you are reading that info? I can't find it, all I find is reference to Coxen Hole. NCL rented space in Mahogany Bay for some time but discontinued that several (4 or 5) years ago. Now exclusively Coxen Hole. It can handle the mega ship with no problem. At times if there is a conflict with ships, the larger ship will get the pier and the smaller will anchor out about 200 ft or so, short tender ride, maybe five minutes or less.

Kfamilycruise, we were discussing this on our roll call and I think I'm even more confused now

That last link given does indeed say; Mahogany Bay Cruise Center - ship will DOCK at this port. I always assumed for our June Getaway cruise we would dock at Coxen Hole. I thought Mahogany Bay was just for Carnival?!

The other link for Roatan port shows Getaway at Coxen Hole in June but it show it arriving at 8am, our itinerary says 10am. As I said, more confused than ever now

I know when I booked our June Getaway cruise originally, we were to be in Roatan 8AM-5PM, then 8AM-5PM the following day in Harvest Cay. When they made the itinerary switch to Belize City, they also changed the Roatan time to 10AM-6PM. I'm not sure if the 2 changes are related or not.

Either way, it doesn't answer the conflict between Coxen Hole listed on some sites and Mahogany Bay listed on others.

We're on the Getaway in February of 2017 and will be going to Harvest Caye. Our port time in Roatan was changed from 8:00 to 10:00 as well. I think this is more along the lines of them slowing the ship down in order to save money (as they do with the noon arrival at Nassau when it was 10:00 for a short while).

I hear you! And I went to the links the other poster showed and I'm astounded. How can it have us at MB when that is obviously Carnival? As another posted said, they may have rented space there years ago. Is NCL's website truly as bad as I feared and it hasn't been updated since then???
