daiB Posted March 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2016 Is it just Horizons that caters for lunch on embarkation day and if so can it cope with everyone? Yes as people can go to their cabin when they have eaten. Remember the higher tier passengers have their own lounge and food. Florry Posted March 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2016 We tend to go for a big breakfast and don't bother too much with lunch. There isn't usually anything I can eat in the higher-tier lounge as I have an allergy, so when we do want something we go to the buffet. I have to say embarkation day has felt like a bit of a scrum in there in the past, but now people can go to cabins it seems much better as the demand is more spread out. Mysticalmother Posted March 17, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2016 (edited) Thank you.....can you explain more on "higher tier"....does that just apply to frequent cruisers or does mini/full suite Benefit from lounge etc....purely interested :-) Higher tier generally refers to the loyalty scheme, but suite and mini suite passengers also enjoy the separate lounge and lunch arrangements on board on embarkation Edited March 17, 2016 by Mysticalmother

Rare P&O SUE Posted March 18, 2016 #9 Share Posted March 18, 2016 Does that apply to all P&O ships? Any of the surcharge restaurants open for lunch? We noticed last year on Azura the Costa coffee place in the atrium was open - ideal if you want a light snack as they only do cakes and pastries.
