Flyer52 Posted March 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2016 We are sailing on the Regal Princess in June and I would like to organise a Meet And Greet/Mingle. I have emailed Princess twice about the procedure but have heard nothing back. Does anyone know who I could contact? Vera

DocF Posted March 20, 2016 #7 Share Posted March 20, 2016 I have been involved with organizing these events on several cruises. My experience indicates that the effort of doing something formal is not worth doing. What has worked best for us is to designate an area of the ship and the time and suggest all interested drop by. This may be the simplest way. ThanksVera Hi Vera which trip on the Regal are you going to be on? This is what they sent me the after I requested information for our trip in May. H Laura, Lawrence Andrada is the Onboard Services Coordinator for the Regal Princess. He is out of the office today and I am helping with some of his emails. Below are the details he will need to setup your Cruise Critic Meet & Greet: Date. Time. Estimated head count (no need for names & booking#'s). COLOR] Name & Booking# of the escort for the event (I'm assuming this will be you?). Upon receiving the above info, we will determine a suitable location. Typically, most Cruise Critic escorts will have this event setup 2nd day of sail around 10am/11am. He will need a confirmed guest count no later than 14 days form sail. And here is what we always setup for Cruise Critic Meet & Greets as we normally have them on every voyage: Cash Open Bar. Dry Snacks. Request for Captain & Senior Staff to attend (work schedule permitting). Regards, Angie Northcutt on behalf of Lawrence Andrada Onboard Services Coordinator Hope you have fun with your new experience with Princess we enjoy all our meet & greets but last year on the Regal was the best. Hope our May 1st. trip is as good. We have a great group so far. Also the TA before our trip seems like a lot of fun. Enjoy Edited March 21, 2016 by latebloomer56 remove line

Doc Be aware that picking a place on your own will mean their could be others already there when the Roll Call shows up. Also, if it is in a lounge that is not open, there will be no bartender if people want a drink.

Enjoy My experience is that it will be assigned to Club 6 unless you have several hundred signed up. That is the least used space at that time of day. It will be scheduled for late morning the first sea day. Although it says officers will be invited, if you don't send personal invitations don't expect many if any to show up. You will also be asked if you want a microphone for an extra charge. I chose not to as the space is fairly small. On the day of the M&G the DJ asked if I wanted to use the mic (no charge). There are signed put at both entrances that there is a private function and they provide a bartender. Or, you can try and do it on your own and hope that something else isn't going on in the same place.
