NauticalMiss Posted March 23, 2016 #26 Share Posted March 23, 2016 So, we're off to Le Havre then. Never been there, so we'll see how it stacks up. To be honest, I've been more anxious about going on Britannia rather than where it's sailing; don't know if it's my kind of ship - but you have to sail on it before you can have a valid opinion ............ Stu K Posted March 27, 2016 #27 Share Posted March 27, 2016 I'm going in may if p and o still dock. Will maybe a little more observant to emergency exits etc . But not changing my plans due to theses scumbags. Stu K
john watson Posted March 27, 2016 #28 Share Posted March 27, 2016 If this in on the orders of Belgium authorities due to current lockdown, then fair enough, but if it were P&O acting unilaterally, then I would not be pleased If P&O acted unilaterally and failed to go to Belgium whereas another cruise line took the berth instead with passengers disembarking and visiting the port and subsequently an incident occurred with fatalities, would you have a different view retrospectively? molecrochip Posted March 27, 2016 #29 Share Posted March 27, 2016 Co-incidentally, Britannia did a bomb alert full crew drill the day before the Brussels attacks. First time I've known P&O do a bomb drill. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
There she blows Posted March 28, 2016 #30 Share Posted March 28, 2016 We were on a cruise on the Arcadia in Novembre and were due to go to Belgium but the captain said that we were told it wasn't safe so they cancelled our trip there. So I don't think any trip there in the future is guaranteed.
