cdoobiest Posted March 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2016 I have 2 staterooms with $250 OBC per room because of AMEX Plat cruise benefit and TA agent bonus. I read you cannot use towards DSC or use in casino so wanted to find other ways to use OBC. I already have UBP and UDP so I was thinking of using toward illusionarium for family of 6. But I don't want to worry about show selling out since we wanted to go on sea day. If I book now, reserve seat. Can I cancel and rebook using OBC once on board? Thanks in advance. hawkeyetlse Posted March 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2016 The problem is that if you cancel on board, I believe they will refund you in OBC…
Mistizoom Posted March 23, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2016 I don't think you should worry about the show selling out. There were still plenty of seats at the 5:30 pm show I went to (day 2, first sea day) and they were actively soliciting people last minute for several other show times during the week. brookie848 Posted March 23, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2016 We had to cancel/reschedule our dinner show on the Epic a few years ago and it was refunded to us as OBC, rather than to our credit card. If using your OBC for the show is important, I would just wait and book when you get on board the ship.
mpcaruth Posted March 23, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2016 They keep a certain number of spots available for onboard reservations. I asked the same question before our January cruise. The reservation desk is open soon after the muster drill. (It may be open before, but I cannot confirm). I do not recommend using the iConcierge App for making reservations. We tried this first before sail away, and it messed up. I clicked to book 4 seats, and it accepted 1 seat and said the others were unavailable. Had to get NCL to assist, was informed by the crew member that the app still has issues. There were plenty of seats, and he fixed our reservation. zorbarick Posted March 23, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2016 One thing to note about re-booking once on board is that prices could change. I just changed my Illusionarium reservation from one night to another, and was told that since the price has gone up since I made the initial booking, I would have to pay the higher fee if I wanted to change nights. I assume the same would happen if prices change between your initial booking and when you try to change on board.
