Flatbush Flyer Posted March 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2016 Hi,Has anyone had problems with school supplies for Vanuatu ? Taking them ashore or with customs ? Any assistance greatly appreciated, Thank you. firstimersrwe. Connect with your country's consul in that region regarding contact info for the most efficacious legitimate charities and aid organizations. Money donated is what is needed -far more than school supplies.

paul929207 Posted March 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2016 If you do bring school supplies, give them to the teacher, not the students.

AKAMum Posted March 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 27, 2016 If you are visiting Mystery Island, there is a box to drop off books and school supplies behind the airport building - the school is on the neighbouring inhabited island as nobody lives on Mystery Island itself. They are in need of books for their school library as well as stationery. Apparently one of the market stalls is run by the school council president or similar and will also accept donations but we found the airport first :) We took a backpack with exercise books, pencils, sharpeners, erasers and a couple of maths sets (protractors, compass, etc) we bought at Kmart.
