Final payment already made - can we get OBC promo?

Question- I am in the Haven so the four free perks are included. I am going through a TA and just saw the OBC offer. This would be $300 more for us. Our final payment is April 3rd. Would my TA be able to offer me this?

Question for the experts.... I have not made final payment. (November sailing, final payment due August) Since I haven't made final payment, am I eligible for the OBC? The price has gone up about $60 pp plus I booked when they were offering 2 free at sea promotions so if I have to cancel and rebook i'd definitely be losing out. Just wondering if I can keep my booking at the current price/perks and still get the OBC?

You get $500.00 only if you are in the garden villa and owner suites , all other haven suites and suites gets $300.00 , they will cancel your booking and you will have to rebook at current price and you could loose your current suite

Yep. I've done the update today with my PCC. They cancelled and rebooked our 2bdrm Haven cabin. Lost 1 day SDP (now 3 instead of 4) but gained $300 OBC that was split as $150pp for the first 2 people in the cabin. The exchange rate had also changed so I saved a little more on that too. But my final payment date for our August sailing did change from May to April as well...

I wanted to update:

 

I heard back from my PCC today on our Sky cruise. We are 91 days out.

 

She was able to rebook the same room at a lower rate, saving us $260, PLUS, we got $500 OBC and the perks are the same as when I booked it (aka, none except open bar), so overall, we are saving $760!

 

OMG. i am so psyched!

For Haven it is UP TO $500. DOS and GV probably qualify for the 500, but Dr. Nora got 300 for her suite.

So, total saved as of now: $810.

All I know is that my PCC got it for me on 2 cruises. I called and asked if it were possible (I didnt think it was, apparantly I was wrong). Since she works for NCL, I figure if it wasnt allowed, she wouldnt have done it. Regardless, it's done, and Im happy!

Congratulations! We are 224 days out for our Sky cruise. We called our PCC this morning about the $300 OBC (we knew our suite would not lower in price) and got it :D:D

My PCC said this deal does not have the "New Bookings" limitation. And I received my email confirmation seconds after my NCL.com account updated showing the $300 OBC, the same suite (9202) and the new Final Payment date (August 24th instead of September 8th).

Actually this TA is very reputable. I have already received generous OBC from them, so I will be happy with that. I do agree that they don't want the extra work, and can understand that.

Not sure how the bookings work in Aus BUT the new free at sea promo not only reduces the number of dinners it also no longer included the gratuities on the dining and beverage packages for suite level and above on North American bookings so I hope you haven't inadvertently added those costs to your new booking.

Hmmm, I hope not too. But my new account overview shows my total due to pay as lower than previously and that and my amenities listing are both safely printed and in my file to bring with me.

My TA says I can get the $300 OBC but the price went up $200 and the SDP went down from 4 to 3 so I said to forget it- not worth the hassle.

Thanks to all posters with detailed info on this latest "sale". I changed my reservation today and received a $140 OBC for our mini. The price had not changed for the cabin category. We did have to pay the increased 18% charges for the beverage package, but that $25 was offset by the $100 discount we received by adding the AARP discount. We did lose one specialty dining night, but that is ok since we hope the platinum dinner benefit doesn't change. Thanks again for all the info.

while i dont know if id do it, i dont know how they prevent a rebook. you cancel and the only thing i can see where they may screw you is you have to wait for that deposit 6 weeks or something. then you gotta up front do another deposit.

 

also is the room released 'immediately' into the pool . i guess would have to reload the page every hour to ensure i get the same room which is important to me

 

i watch my room price every day and it hasnt changed in a month and there are plenty left. the haven spa i guess doesnt change prices. id still get all 4 freebees but id get the 300 obc if i tried to rebook. it is tempting. losing one free meal is the only thing i can think of that id lose, is that correct? (booked in FEB)

Didn't you change your cruise recently because of Jersey Week?

Anyway, I called NCL and they simply applied the OBC to my suite booking. They did not release my cabin , I did not rebook. Not sailing until September. Before I had hung up the phone I had my new amenity confirmation which added the 300 dollar OBC.

 

The rep,will check that price has not changed for your suite .if it hasn't gone up you will be golden! All you lose is one of the 4 dinners.

 

It can't hurt to make the call.

Just so you know, it has never taken more than 3 days for a deposit refund to show up on my Amex account. Sometimes I have 2 cruises booked for different weeks at once when there is a great special or the cabin we desire is limited stock. I hold them both until I see which weeks we can get off from work. The deposit comes back to me pronto. This time I Had two different ships booked for the same week - Getaway and Breakaway. Got my deposit credited to Amex the day after I cancelled Breakaway.
