If you have OBC (in excess of $300) do you still have to place an initial deposit on your On Board account as per the cruise length guidelines?

Royal normally does not require cash upfront. They let you charge up to $500 over your OBC before they require you to pay it down.

Noticed you are from Barbados. Does Royal let you get on the ship in Barbados, or do you have to fly somewhere?

We have to fly to to get the ship.

 

To date Carnival is the only line that allows folks to board from Barbados.

Sorry to hear that. We've been to Barbados at least a half-dozen times and really enjoy the island.

Its not to bad, while it would save us on airfare if we could, we enjoy flying to MIA and FLL and spending a bit of time there pre/post cruise.
