I don't like it because there is a lack of nice low cost beaches. We have been to two different beaches there and they were terrible. Also, the people were pushy. And I mean physically pushing/nudging you to come with them into their shops. I won't ever return. Way too many awesome friendly places in the Caribbean to waste time here :)

We stopped in Nassau twice on our recent B2B. I actually quite liked Nassau. The first time around, we did a tour that took us away from the port. I did not feel as unsafe as we did in Jamaica. I remember feeling

 

The second time around, we spent the day shopping on our own downtown. I never once felt unsafe walking around outside of port, and there were a ton of stores which meant for great shopping.

 

I honestly don't know why people dislike Nassau so much.
