New details emerge on Edge Class Ships

I like how the article says "Apparently, the Softroom design picks up the open bathroom concept that debuted with the inauguration of Norwegian EPIC in 2010" ... arguably the worst design decision ever made on a cruise ship that has garnered many complaints and made people swear off an otherwise OK ship:

That's the view from the cabin of the toilet compartment! I hope X doesn't copy this!

OH my gosh, I have no words! I just can't stop laughing!

Every couple of months the same 2 photos come up as being the prototypes for Edge Class cabins. Check this thread from this time last year and those same 2 photos are on page 1 and then again on numerous pages throughout the thread ;). All speculation, X have not confirmed this is the new layout ;). Funny thing is, I've not looked at your link, but I bet any money it's those same 2 photos - so is it :D?

Thanks for the link. :) It seems I'm a little late on this. :o

While it was interesting to read the discussion I see no photos on page 1

Perhaps they have been removed by admin?

Just found them on another thread...

That was our reaction too. The toilet is on one side of the door, and the shower on the other. I told my wife it represented the good and bad of life, one view you like and one not so much.

I'm not very shy, but I did feel funny sitting on the toilet when the room steward knocked on the door and my wife talked to him with the door open, both of them no more than 2 feet away from me. I took the time to pause and reflect on the meaning of life until the cabin door was once again closed.
