Thecat3902 Posted April 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2016 The season finale of the walking dead is this Sunday. Our allure ship is sailing Sunday. I believe amc posts episodes the next day so is voom powerful enough to stream videos?I don't want to waste a bunch of money on voom and its not strong enough to stream. Sorry hardcore fan of the dead and struggling with waiting a week to watch.

SherriZ366 Posted April 1, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2016 Yes, Voom is good enough to stream video. What about streaming a TV show while it is being broadcast?
Clarea Posted April 1, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 1, 2016 What about streaming a TV show while it is being broadcast? Should be no problem. However, I've seen mention of two different prices lately, the higher one is for streaming. I don't know if this choice is on all Voom ships. OfTheSeasCruiser Posted April 1, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 1, 2016 (edited) I did this exact thing during my Allure cruise on Feb 22 (yes, TWD from the AMC app on my iPad). It worked seamlessly. Now the real question is...who will suffer the wrath of Negan? Edited April 1, 2016 by OfTheSeasCruiser

Cigar King Posted April 1, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 1, 2016 If it's really important to you, I would TiVo it as well. Technology has a way of screwing you when you really need it. A plan B is worth having.

SherriZ366 Posted April 2, 2016 #12 Share Posted April 2, 2016 My kids have had you tube come in just fine. There are lots of things I would like to watch on You tube and never have time for. Wonder if it will work well on the balcony where I spend most of my time.
SherriZ366 Posted April 2, 2016 #13 Share Posted April 2, 2016 When we were on Quantum in Asia last year we were able to stream Netflix anytime we wanted. That would be great as I am only on Episode 9 in season one of House of Cards and they are on Season 4.
