aprilsp88 Posted April 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2016 Hi, I understand that safari bus make a 8 loop. Does anyone have a route map? If dock in crown bay, is taking safari bus to sapphire beach or downtown still an option? Thanks, April
O2B@Cagain Posted April 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2016 From Crown Bay, you will need to walk 1/2 mile to the road where the safari route runs. On the way back, you'll have to walk another 1/2 mile. The route does not go to the dock.
beautifulbill Posted April 3, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2016 The safari bus is cheap but it is takes time. There is no schedule, it only goes one way, it makes frequent stops and has no AC. You would need to decide if your main concern is time or money
mcmarya Posted April 3, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2016 We used it in January to go from Crown Point through downtown to Coki Beach then back again. It is a fairly easy walk out to the main road. Since they drive on the left side of the road you will need to cross the street--I think there is a bus shelter or at least a bus stop sign. Look around as you leave so you will know where to get off on your way back. If you are just going to town it is $1, $2 if you go farther. From Crown Point, you will go directly through town, then go by the hospital, the Tutu Park Mall, then around the Northeast corner past Coki Beach, Sapphire Beach, and Red Hook before turning back toward the Mall and back through town before heading to Crown Point. The route is always in one direction so to get from Red Hook to Coki Beach, for example, you would have to go back to the Mall and transfer to another bus if you don't want to do the whole figure 8. monorail81 Posted April 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2016 We've never docked at Crown before, but will be on our upcoming trip. Does anyone know if there are sidewalks all the way to town like there are from Havensight?
O2B@Cagain Posted April 4, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 4, 2016 There are sidewalks all the way from Crown Bay to town. It is a bit longer walk, and not quite as picturesque. But definitely walkable. ;)
aprilsp88 Posted April 5, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted April 5, 2016 Thanks for the description. I mapped each point on map, I see a q, not 8, but I got your point. How often does the bus run? Every 30 min or less? Thanks again! We used it in January to go from Crown Point through downtown to Coki Beach then back again. It is a fairly easy walk out to the main road. O2B@Cagain Posted September 12, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) knot: I don't have a map, but you really don't need one. If you go out the gate at Crown Bay and turn right, stay on that sidewalk all the way to town. You will have to cross a couple of side streets but stay on that side until you see the town area. Easy peasy. :D Edited September 12, 2016 by O2B@Cagain
