Jade - cakes and pastries

I have booked my first NCL cruise for 10 years. My last 3 cruises were with Celebrity and I loved their Café Al Bacio for leisurely morning coffee or afternoon tea with complimentary small cakes and pastries. Yum. I see that on the Jade there is Carlo's Bake Shop. Is this a similar concept? Are the cakes complimentary? I cannot find this information on the website.

If I remember correctly, the items there were not free of charge.

Carlos Bake shop is not free.I personally did not think they were very good as they come in frozen and not worth the price.

There is no Carlos bakery on the Jade. There is a very small pastry case in the atrium bar/coffee shop. Coffee/tea and pastries are not free.

Thanks for the responses. I am a little confused as under the 'Explore What's on Board Norwegian Jade' heading on the website it lists Carlo's Bake Shop, but then goes on to state it is available at the Café in the Atrium. So actually just a few cakes in the café then - and as you have informed me on an a la carte basis. Never mind, that will save a few calories, and OBC.

Casino has early morning pastries and coffee/juice on sea days

the cakes in the main dining rooms were quite good.

worth mentioning are the warm volcano cake, the tiramisu cake and the hazelnut bar cake. we enjoyed the cheesecakes and the mousse too (yes, we were on a long cruise B2B)
