cjmayes51 Posted April 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2016 Anyone used it? Used it twice in the last 3 years- both times in mid-late March . Great location, friendly staff & an overall good but not great hotel. Perfect for a 1 night stay. Depending upon when you are going there can be some good prices. I will be trying to book again for a pre stay on the night before our March 2017 14 days cruise. Charlie
Rare JamesEM Posted April 6, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2016 OK for one night if you can get a good price.
cruiseapril Posted April 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2016 We have stayed there several times. The front desk was very helpful. Rooms were fine, free breakfast good, and the area is good for walking. We walk to the Embassy Suites for lunch on the patio, to a restaurant for dinner, and to the shops. RCmommy Posted April 6, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2016 Twice in 2015 for pre-cruise stays. Excellent location. Got great deals on hotel discount website. If we cruise out of Port Everglades again we would aim to stay at the same hotel.
kicker Posted April 9, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 9, 2016 HIE says its a 5 minute walk to the port. Can you walk to the port, or do you have to shuttle/taxi?
capriccio Posted April 9, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 9, 2016 (edited) HIE says its a 5 minute walk to the port. Can you walk to the port, or do you have to shuttle/taxi? Here's the Port Everglades map: http://www.porteverglades.net/includes/content/docs/media/PEG545_MultiMapBrochure_Map_REVISED-Feb-17-2015.pdf. According to google maps, it is a 1/2 mile (10 minute walk) from the Holiday Inn Express to terminals 2 and 4 at the northern entrance of the port (Eisenhower Blvd off of 17th Street). All the other terminals are much further away plus it is an industrial port with lots of large truck traffic. Walking in the port is not pleasant. There is no shade and if it is hot and humid outside (at least half the year) it will be miserable. If you need to know your terminal, that info is published on the ship schedule a week in advance: https://pevvesseltraffic.broward.org/webx/ Edited April 9, 2016 by capriccio

Thanks for clarifying.
firefightermediclasvegas Posted April 10, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 10, 2016 We used UBER last minute from the Embassy Suites to port 2. It was very easy and only cost us $8 for
