Trying to get some information about back to back cruises for British travellers out of Galveston.

Have posted on Royal Carib. Board but no replies as yet.

Would like to know what happens on 'turn around' day..with regard to changing cabins, immigration, meals , what is open etc etc.

Please could anyone with experience of this post helpful information.

Many thanks.

We did a B2B on independence of the Seas last May but not out of Galveston. However, I imagine arrangements are pretty similar whichever port you are in.

Hope this information helps.

We had a leisurely breakfast in the MDR Avoid the Windjammer at all costs as its bedlam with people with suitcases etc waiting to disembark.

We strolled round the ship and took lots of photos as many areas were empty of people.

We had been invited to a meeting the previous day to tell all B2B passengers the process.

At around 10.00 we gathered in a lounge then when most of the passengers were off we were escorted back into the terminal. We had to wait a bit until the stragglers had been evicted (!) but then an immigration officer arrived and we simply lined up, showed him our passports and walked back onto the ship. We did not even have to go downstairs in the terminal as the immigration officer came upstairs to us.

There was a very nice lunch provided in the MDR and after that it was business as usual.

We left everything in the cabin as we weren't moving and told our steward not to hurry to do our cabin as we knew he would be very bust with getting staterooms ready for new passengers.

Hope you have a great cruise!

Thanks Ellie.

Info is great. We are moving cabins for second cruise.....only added it as afterthought.

Sounds like whole process should take less than an hour.???

Did you have access to cabin before 1pm on turnaround day, or did you have to stay in public areas ?

Thanks again
