GONEGRIL Posted April 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2016 This is our first cruise and we'll be on Breakaway. Since fewer items seem to be free than I would have anticipated, is there plain (tap) drinking water available on the boat? Is the water from the faucet in our cabin potable, and is there a water bubbler or something like that in the Gym or Spa? Since I go through quite a bit of water in a day, I'd just like to know if I have to budget for it, or not. Thank you for your help!
Rare KeithJenner Posted April 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2016 The water in your cabin is fine to drink. We fill bottles from it. There are also dispensers in the buffet. If you want to put that into bottles you need to pour it into glasses first. Also, you can go to any bar and ask for tap water.
WYTinman Posted April 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2016 Read through this thread. It should answer many of your Breakaway water questions. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2318283&highlight=tap

Gershep Posted April 10, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2016 If you are driving to the pier in NY you can bring cases of water on. We bring a case in a wheeled duffle bag then we use the empty bottles to fill with water from either the room or buffet.
3poundpuppies Posted April 10, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 10, 2016 We disembarked this morning :( and I can tell you the ships water is perfectly fine. I usually take bottles but didn't want to drag them along this time. No need to!!

bbryan5 Posted April 17, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 17, 2016 I always take a case of water on board (no charge.) I understand the ship water is fine to drink, but I just prefer bottled water. I slap a luggage tag right on the case, tap it down good with clear tap, and it shows up in my cabin. Very easy.
takeadip Posted April 20, 2016 #10 Share Posted April 20, 2016 water water everywhere and all the boards did shrink...water water everywhere and not a drop to drink...unless you bring your own 24 pack that you buy prior to boarding...
goldfish99 Posted April 21, 2016 #11 Share Posted April 21, 2016 Can you bring a water bottle that has a filter just in case you don't like the ship's water? I was thinking of doing that since that is all I do is drink water.
